The history
In 1991 I formed a “small” 12-piece big band to showcase my arrangements and compositions and feature the world-class jazz vocalist, Debbie Duncan. The band was active for about a decade, while Debbie and I continued collaborating for 2 more decades. Sadly, Debbie passed away in 2020.
Fast-forward…
In 2022 I had the pleasure to arrange and orchestrate a Judy Garland tribute symphony show for the amazing Jennifer Grimm. The collaboration with Miss Grimm ignited the revival of my original big band and steered it in a new direction as it took on the form of a small jazz orchestra.
The band is in the process of recording a new EP. Stay tuned for our first single “Make You Feel My Love”, coming out September 2024.
The ensemble will perform on October 4th at the Dakota Jazz Club in Minneapolis and on September 29 at Birdland Jazz Club in New York.
